Not Riddled features diamond-shaped doors that open and close without the aid of hinges. Steven Holl has been able to model a sheet of wood-fabric which, thanks to small laser engravings, can be folded like an origami, hugging the sides of the container. Not Riddled is the sublimation of contemporary aesthetics and an intelligent application of mechanical innovation.
Materials: Structure made from lacquered particleboard or MDF. Sides and doors made from a material designed and patented by Horm, composed of a sandwich of walnut veneer and fabric 2.2 mm thick, which, thanks toa number of superficial incisions made with a laser cutter, can be folded up like origami. Transparent tempered glass shelves, with polished edge, 5 mm thick.
